Black History Month Culture and Creativity Workshops

Join us for the Dream Space Collective Black History Month Workshop Series, a celebration of culture, creativity, and faith. This series invites participants of all ages to engage in meaningful experiences that honor the rich African American heritage and explore the transformative power of faith in social action.

"Heritage and Creativity: Exploring Black Culture"
In this workshop, participants will dive into interactive projects that celebrate music, art, storytelling, and traditions of the African American experience. Each session provides the opportunity to create meaningful art and engage with cultural narratives, fostering a deeper appreciation for heritage.

"Faithful Dreamers: From Vision to Movement"
This workshop examines the impactful lives of faith leaders such as Harriet Tubman, Fannie Lou Hamer, James Cone, Prathia Hall, Howard Thurman, and Pauli Murray. Participants will explore how these leaders turned their spiritual convictions into movements for justice, engaging in discussions and hands-on activities that inspire collective action.

By the end of the series, participants will have developed creative projects and action plans that reflect both cultural heritage and a commitment to social justice.

Supplies Needed: All materials will be provided for both workshops. Come ready to engage and participate!
